Green

Romance Sonambulo

Green, how I want you green.
Green wind. Green branches.
The ship out on the sea
and the horse on the mountain.
With the shade around her waist
She dreams on her balcony,
green flesh, her hair green,
with eyes of cold silver.

Green, how I want you green.
Under the gypsy moon,
all things are watching her
and she cannot see them.

~ Fernando Garcia Lorca, 1928
To Gloria Giner and Fernando de los Rios

It's my pleasure to announce that we have started shipping the first of the Embrace the Lace packages this week. All international packages are out the door, and US packages will start shipping out this Friday, March 27th. I don't want to post too much here just yet, but the poem above is a slight hint as to the color of this month's project, and you can check out the first contest on the sidebar of the blog.

We welcome you all to the club, and hope that you enjoy knitting this first project as much as we have! If you are in the Portland area, you will be sure to see me wearing mine around town. :) Make sure to check out the Ravelry Embrace the Lace group as well, and I will do my best to post any group updates and pattern errata in both places in case you are checking one or the other more often.

It's time to Embrace your Inner Lace! Welcome!
